Experience of peer workers in the field of mental health care

The aim of our thesis is to describe and gain the best possible understanding of the experience of peer consultants in the field of mental health care. Additionally, it involves identifying essential phenomena that may arise during their mentioned experiences and carry stimuli suitable for further analysis. For these reasons, we chose a qualitative approach in conducting our research. Specifically, we opted for Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis, which allows for a detailed focus on the form of experience of individual respondents and its nuances. The respondents consisted of three adult women and two adult men aged between 26 and 56. Each of them is employed as a peer consultant in either health or social services. We gathered data through semi- structured interviews, analyzing it on two levels. Firstly, we outlined and analyzed the experience of each respondent and its specific details. Secondly, we conducted an analysis of the themes that were common among the respondents, yet held analytical potential in relation to the studied phenomenon. Activating Practises in Nursing Homes for Elderly People

This Bachelor Thesis focuses on activating practices in nursing homes for elderly people. The aim of the Thesis is to map all aspects of providing this activation. Chapter 1 characterizes old age and the ageing process and describes the changes occurring in old age as well as the basic needs of the elderly. Chapter 2 deals with the importance of knowing the life history of each senior and motivations for meaningful activation. Chapter 3 describes the individual activating practices with a description of the benefits, or possible negative effects, on users of residential service Activations help and support the consolidation and development of physical and mental strength, as well as maintaining or improving self-sufficiency. The efforts to activate elderly people must fully respect the individual abilities and requirements of each person as not everyone is happy to participate in therapeutic practices. Activations have an irreplaceable role in comprehensive care for the elderly in residential facilities. Nursing homes offer a variety of activities and possibilities for spending leisure time. Care in nursing homes aims to make the last stage of life easier and more pleasant for their elderly residents and helps them to use all the abilities each has in order to gain a sense of self-worth, meaningful life and harmony.
Bibliotherapy with abandoned children

Bachelor thesis "Bibliotherapy with children in children's homes" is about using the bibliotherapy for children in children's homes. The main target is sum up all theoretic information of bibliotherapy and children's home and then makes a suggestion of suitable bibliotherapeutics techniques and literature for children, who live in children's homes. This project should use as a inspiration for specialist and all people, who would like to use bibliotherapy with abandoned children. The secondary target is to determine the availability of literature and materials related to bibliotherapy. The project is divided into three chapters. The first chapter deals with bibliotherapy, its theory and examples of application in practice in abroad and in the Czech Republic. The second chapter focuses on the children's homes and in particular the problems of children, who place there. The final chapter presents a proposal bibliotherapeutics techniques, tailored directly to the specific problems of children in children's homes. The result is a proposal bibliotherapeutics techniques and literature focused on specific problems of children in children's homes.
Komparační studie čtyř romských životních příběhů

The objective of this thesis is to do a comparative analysis of four Romany life-stories in prose from different parts of the world and identify features which may justly be called characteristic of Romany writing. The comparison of Victor Vishnevsky's Memories of a Gypsy, Mikey Walsh's Gypsy Boy and Gypsy Boy on the Run, Andrej Giňa's Paťiv. Ještě víme, co je úcta and Irena Eliášová's Naše osada yields valuable insights into how Romany writers construct their identity and to what extent their current work relates to the existing literary genres. Because of Romany studies' multidisciplinary nature, the extensive introduction lays the theoretical foundations for the analysis. I proceed from the characteristics of Romany studies in general in part 1.2 to the way it was practised during my undergraduate years in Prague as opposed to the Western tradition (part 1.3). Using a case study of the schism Romany studies are currently facing in the Czech Republic, in part 1.4 I attempt to illustrate the more general epistemological challenges the field has been grappling with between essentialist/primordialist and radical constructivist views. The reconstruction of the life story of young adults being exposed to an adverse effect of their family

The thesis deals with understanding the interpretation of life story, important people and agency in life story of young adult being expose to an adverse effect of their family. The theoretical part is focused on life story and life story work, namely methods of create life story book. The thesis defined young adult in institutional and foster care, their needs and rights. The special chapter is life story work with traumatized children. The empirical part consist of analysis of four autobiographical narratives collected by the method of narrative interview, life story book and lifeline. The collected information are analysed with holistic-content, holistic-formal and categorical-formal analysis. This work includes feedback participants in research probe reconstruction of life story and life story work. At the conclusion of work are recommended other methods for further research.

The ninth stage of human development: narrative analysis of autobiographical interview Abstract The goal of the work is understanding how seniors give meaning to their experience. Theoretical and methodological bases are formed by the hermeneutic- narrative approach. Thesis is concentrated to the identity and a method how is the identity constructed in life stories. The empirical material consists of three autobiographical narratives collected by the method od narrative interview. For narrative analysis of the interview there are three different interpretive perspective used: Live motives, Ideological setting and Imagoes. The results of analysis are confronted with the concept of "The ninth stage of human development" whose authors are J. M. Erikson and E. H. Erikson. Milos Sovak and the reeducation of the left-handen

This diploma thesis deals with the issue of left-handed retraining in the context of the research of Professor Miloš Sovák. It shows his contribution in this area and how he specifically contributed to the formation of teaching in the following years. The work is characterized by left-handedness, laterality. Examples of diagnostics of laterality of individual tests are given. In the theoretical part, the author also considers the breadth of the context of re-teaching not only the left-handed, where any violent re-learning can lead to consequences for life. In the practical part, a qualitative research was chosen, which is conducted on the basis of a semi-structured interview conducted with five respondents who answer open and closed questions about methods and approaches to their re-learning and their perception of the re- learning process. Research shows that there is no trait that is common to a smaller number of trainees, and therefore it is highly unlikely that there is a trait that would characterize a large group of trainees.
